Herrick & Salsbury Inc. was commissioned by the Maine Coast Heritage Trust to survey and divide a 60-acre parcel of land locally known as Jones Marsh and Fresh Meadow. Half of the land was deeded to the Island Housing Trust for potential future housing and the remaining half was deeded to Acadia National Park for permanent conservation. The Fresh Meadow parcel features a unique transition from salt marsh to a freshwater marsh to wooded habitat.
